About us

Technical Report Press is an academic publishing house dedicated to the publication, dissemination, and long-term preservation of scholarly research. The press supports peer-reviewed journals, academic articles, technical reports, review papers, case studies, proceedings, and other scholarly outputs across science, technology, engineering, medicine, social sciences, humanities, and interdisciplinary fields.

Our mission is to strengthen access to reliable academic knowledge by supporting transparent publishing practices, ethical editorial standards, high-quality peer review, and broad digital discoverability. Technical Report Press works with editors, reviewers, authors, researchers, librarians, universities, and scholarly communities to make research accessible, citable, and useful for readers around the world.

Our Publishing Model

Technical Report Press supports open and accessible scholarly communication. Many publications under the press follow an open access or diamond open access model, allowing readers to access published research freely online without subscription barriers.

Where journals operate under a diamond open access model, authors are not required to pay article processing charges, submission fees, publication fees, page charges, or DOI registration fees. This model helps reduce financial barriers for authors while supporting free access for readers.

Funding and Community Support

Technical Report Press is partially supported through open access funding, library-based contributions, academic partnerships, and community investment initiatives. This support helps the press maintain accessible publishing services, editorial infrastructure, digital hosting, metadata preparation, indexing support, copyediting, minor English language corrections, DOI-related services, and long-term article availability.

The press acknowledges support from open access and scholarly communication initiatives, including the LYRASIS Open Access Community Investment Program, university library consortia, institutional partners, academic supporters, and other community-based funding sources that promote sustainable, non-commercial, and equitable access to research.

This funding model allows Technical Report Press to support scholarly publishing while reducing the financial burden on authors and readers. Editorial decisions remain fully independent and are based only on academic quality, originality, ethical compliance, relevance, peer-review evaluation, and editorial judgment.

Editorial Standards

Technical Report Press is committed to responsible publishing. Journals and publications managed by the press follow clearly stated editorial policies, peer-review procedures, publication ethics standards, authorship requirements, conflict of interest policies, correction and retraction procedures, and copyright and licensing terms.

The press supports single-blind, double-blind, or other peer-review models depending on the policy of each journal. The review model of each journal is clearly stated on the relevant journal website.

Author and Editor Support

Technical Report Press provides publishing support to authors and editors throughout the publication process. This may include manuscript administration, editorial workflow support, peer-review coordination, copyediting, minor English language corrections, formatting, proofreading, article production, metadata preparation, DOI support, online publication, indexing support, and archive maintenance.

If a manuscript requires major English language improvement or extensive rewriting, authors may be advised to seek professional language editing services from qualified language editing providers or academic institutions before final publication.

Research Visibility and Discoverability

Technical Report Press supports the visibility and discoverability of published work through accurate article metadata, structured publication records, DOI information, searchable journal archives, indexing-friendly article pages, and long-term digital access. Where journals are included in abstracting and indexing databases, the press works to maintain accurate metadata and publication information.

Our Commitment

Technical Report Press is committed to academic integrity, editorial independence, open access, transparent publishing policies, and responsible stewardship of the scholarly record. We believe that research should be published through fair editorial processes and made available in ways that support learning, citation, reuse, and global knowledge exchange.

Through its publishing activities and community-supported model, Technical Report Press seeks to serve authors, readers, editors, reviewers, librarians, institutions, and indexing services with reliable, ethical, and accessible scholarly publishing.
