Technical Report Press (TRP) publishes its journals under a fully open access model, ensuring broad and immediate access to published scholarly work. Articles published by TRP may be read, downloaded, shared, used, and reused with appropriate attribution to the original author(s) and source of publication.
Unless otherwise stated by an individual journal, articles are typically published under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0) or another appropriate Creative Commons license specified by the journal.
No Article Processing Charges — Diamond Open Access
TRP is a diamond open access publisher. This means that access to published content is free for readers, and publication is free for authors.
TRP does not charge:
- submission fees;
- article processing charges (APCs);
- peer-review fees;
- publication fees;
- page charges;
- charges based on article length;
- charges for figures, tables, color images, or supplementary files.
There are also no charges for rejected manuscripts. Authors may submit, revise, and publish their accepted manuscripts without payment.
Publication Costs Covered by TRP
TRP covers the operational and technical costs required to manage, produce, and publish scholarly articles. These costs may include:
- editorial administration and peer-review coordination, including initial manuscript checks, reviewer invitations, author communication, reviewer correspondence, and editorial decision workflows;
- production services, including formatting, typesetting, preparation of PDF and web-ready versions, reference checking, and metadata preparation;
- proofing and publication processes, including author proof review, correction management, final quality checks, and online publication;
- dissemination activities, including distribution of article metadata and published content to indexing services, discovery platforms, repositories, and scholarly databases, where applicable;
- archiving and continuity measures, including maintenance of access to published content and support for long-term preservation practices.
Manuscript Quality Requirements
To support an efficient editorial and publication process, authors are expected to submit manuscripts that are carefully prepared, clearly written, and complete at the time of submission. Manuscripts should include accurate references, properly prepared figures and tables, complete author information, and all required ethical, funding, and conflict-of-interest statements.
Authors are also expected to respond carefully and constructively to reviewer and editorial comments during revision. Manuscripts that are incomplete, poorly prepared, unclear, or not aligned with journal requirements may experience delays or may be rejected during editorial assessment.
Optional Author Services
TRP may offer optional author services, such as extensive language editing, technical formatting, or specialized figure preparation, only when requested by the author and only with clear prior disclosure of any applicable terms.
Such services are entirely optional and are not required for manuscript submission, peer review, acceptance, or publication. The availability or use of optional services has no influence on editorial decisions, peer-review outcomes, or the publication process.
Sustainability of the Diamond Open Access Model
TRP sustains its diamond open access publishing model through publisher resources, institutional support, and relevant partnerships that help fund editorial operations, technical infrastructure, production, dissemination, and preservation.
Funding sources, institutional support, or partnerships do not influence editorial independence, peer-review outcomes, acceptance decisions, or journal editorial direction. All editorial decisions are based solely on scholarly quality, relevance, originality, ethical compliance, and the recommendations of editors and reviewers.
Discounts and Waivers
Because TRP does not charge article processing charges, submission fees, publication fees, or other mandatory author fees, discounts and waivers are not applicable.
TRP’s diamond open access policy ensures that authors may publish accepted work without financial barriers and that readers may access published research without subscription or payment barriers.
